prayer requests 4/29/08

so, unfortunately I was not able to meet with Yumi and pray and talk because I had Jury Duty. My group was called and I had to come in. I would be fine with serving on a jury, just not while dealing with midterms, finals coming up, and having to miss school. I pretty much just sat there for like, 2 hourse doing nothing. but it was a good time for studying.

But n e ways, here are my prayer requests updated:
- praise God, we are about 1/7 the way on our financial support
- please pray that Yumi and I are able to continually tell more people and gain more prayer and financial support.
- We are trying to get dates to share at other churches, so please pray for quick responses.
- Yumi and I have to get our shots/immunizations and because of school and work and church ministries, we are having a difficult time finding a date to get them done. (eeek...i hate shots).
-Yumi and I have been a bit overwhelmed with school and (yumi balancing work, school, and church). Please pray that we can run the last bit of this semester with full strength and be fully dependent on the Lord.

Thank you for taking time to pray for us. We are soOo thankful for you! God Bless you!

Praises

Today we shared with our home church family about our mission trip. Yumi and I were both soOoo Nervous. But thank God for providing strength and a bit of "poise" (If it were all by Yumi and My power alone, we would have looked like a seizure or spastic attention disorder or something).

I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed that not many people came over to talk to us at our "Booth" set up. I know that it is all by God's power that anything is done, so I know God will provide for us to go. I'm sure people picked up support letters before service as well.

If he has truly called us to Cameroon, he will provide. I thank God for the passions he has created with fire in our hearts. Without passion, how else would we be motivated to do anything GREAT? Greatness is all done by God's power; which is great.

Prayer requests:
Yumi and I have felt overwhelmed by alot. Not only do we have College and this mission trip to focus on, but youth ministry, decisions about the future, friends, family (including sick family). There is alot on our plates and we have been stretched alot to get things done on a clicking timer. Please help us by praying for our bodies and souls to become rejuvenated by the Lord and for God's comfort in decision making.

Thank you for reading this Blog. It really means alot to Me that you would take time out of your busy schedule to update on Yumi and My life and prayer requests.

Merci! (french for Thank You).

Daryl and Sun Young

5youngsinafrica.org

This is the missionary family we are supporting and teaming up with in Cameroon. Daryl uses Aviation to reach places difficult to travel to due to terrain or time. They work with Wycliffe which works on bible translation or ALL languages. It's crazy how many languages still don't have the bible in their native tongue. We are definitely blessed to have so many different versions available to us in English.

BAM

So last friday, 4/4/08 we shared and lead worship for BAM (Bay area missions rally). It was awesome, the we found alot of response from the youth from our sharing of our mission trip. I was hoping to at the least educate the youth on missions, but I was praying more so that they would think about how they might be called to missions.

Yumi's sharing really challenged the youth I think. She shared her feelings about going and all her hesitations she has felt. check out her site at fruition7987-yumi@blogspot.com. It was really inspiring to me as well. I know I definitely dont feel like I am the best suited, or most bible knowledgable person to be sharing the gospel and teaching and guiding the kids in Cameroon. I definitely know that there are tons other people who KNOW way more than I do and have read the bible inside and out. But I also know that God created me the way I am for a reason, and though my growth in knowledge may be slow, God is molding me to what he desires me to be for His great mission in this world. Just like a square fits in a square hole, I am molded with the perfect shape.

Starting this week, Yumi and I are going to b praying every tuesday from 2:30 to 3:30. I will post our prayer requests tomorrow. Your prayer would definitely be loved.
